SAFARI OVERVIEW
The Serengeti Great Migration is recognized as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. It offers breathtaking views of the plains, teeming with vast herds of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle. The rivers, often infested with large Nile crocodiles lurking in wait, add to the dramatic spectacle. The Serengeti provides some of the best safari experiences in the world, with a landscape of volcanic grasslands and expansive plains punctuated by rocky outcrops, rivers, and forests. Visiting the right area at the right time rewards travellers with astonishing sights of this natural marvel.
The migratory herds attract many of Africa’s most famous predators, ensuring that where the Migration goes, big cats, crocodiles, and hyenas are never far behind.

DAY BY DAY ITENERARY

Our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha for a full-day tour of the Ngorongoro Crater, with a picnic lunch along the way. You'll descend 2000 feet into the crater in a 4x4 vehicle, explore its diverse ecosystem, and then ascend to your lodge located on the crater rim. Often referred to as 'Africa's Eden' and the '8th Natural Wonder of the World,' the Ngorongoro Crater is a top attraction for tourists in Tanzania. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) is home to the Ngorongoro Crater, formed around 2.5 million years ago when a massive volcanic mountain collapsed due to inactivity. Initially believed to be taller than Kilimanjaro, the crater has since become a vital part of Tanzania's ecosystem. As a 22.5 km-wide caldera with 600-metre-high rim walls, it offers breathtaking views both from within and from the rim. The crater is home to 30,000 animals and numerous bird species that remain in the area year-round due to the constant availability of water.
